Bill "Nickel Bill" Lowery

Bill "Nickel Bill" Lowery,66, of Gastonia, passed away on April 29, 2013 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born October 31, 1946 in Gaston County son of the late Marion William Lowery and Florence Thompson Lowery. Bill was a member of Windjammer Motorcycle Club. A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Westview Baptist Church, 3385 Fairview Dr., Bessemer City officiated by Rev. Jerry Millwood. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday at Greene Funeral Service , West Chapel 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia. Interment will be Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. Bill is survived by, his loving wife of 43 years, Anita Barrett Lowery; daughter, Tracy Lowery; sisters, Diane Holt, Rachel Seaton; grandchild, Kaitlin Lowery. In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by, daughter, Terri Lynn Lowery; brother, Calvin Smith; sister, Sarah Frances Lowery.
