Bettye Salyer Breidinger

Bettye Salyer Breidinger, 86, formerly of Gastonia, NC, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Novant Brunswick Medical Center.

She was born December 19, 1935, in Greenville Co, SC, daughter of the late Stephen Frank Salyer and Nora Belle Garland Salyer.

On March 12, 2022  Bettye Breidinger transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home. Bettye was a Woman of Faith and a true prayer warrior! Bettye always took the time to talk and pray with others on the phone or in person. She ministered to countless men and women, particularly the singles ministry.

Bettye always loved talking about her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family - this was her joy.

She was alwys sure to speak of the goodness of God, even in times of suffering and pain. Bettye will always be close to our hearts and the seeds she has sown will live on for generations to come.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Stephen William Salyer; and brothers, Jason Salyer, James Salyer, and Junior Salyer.

Bettye is survived by her sons, David Breidinger, Dale Breidinger (Rebecca), and Robin Breidinger (Mirjam); daughters, Sharon Breidinger, and Cindy Breidinger; sisters, Barbara Arnett (Charles), and Nora Boone; grandchildren, Elizabeth Porter, Leann Norton, Joshua Breidinger, Jordon Breidinger, Jacob Breidinger, Jada Breidinger, Brandon Beaver, Ben Jaynes, and Samuel Breidinger; and great-grandchildren, Jayce Porter, Faith Porter, Adalyn Norton, Harper Norton, Jaxon Breidinger, Rylie Breidinger, Starr Breidinger, and Chase Breidinger.

A funeral service officiated by Chaplin Robin Breidinger and Rev. Dale Breidinger, will be held 7pm on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Yorkwood Church of God - 405 Stagecoach Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be held 10am on Monday at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
