Betty Smith Wells, 80, of Kings Mountain, passed away on November 18, 2015, at her home.
She was born September 22, 1935, in Guilford County, NC daughter of the late Jesse Clifford Smith and Marylou Hopkins Smith.
Mrs. Wells was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Grover.
She loved her family deeply and always put their needs before her own. She was retired from Gaston Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by the Reverends Dennis Wells and Jerry Millwood.
The family will receive friends 1:00 -2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Wells is survived by sons, Mike Wells, Rev. Dennis Wells and wife, Carol, Brian Wells and wife, Sharon; daughters, Rena Robinson, Cindi Glenn; sisters, Shirley Ward, Kathy Grigg; fourteen grandchildren; twenty - seven great –grandchildren; one great - great - grandchild.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Wells; son, Kenny Wells; granddaughter, Bobbie Jean Wells; five brothers; three sisters.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Cleveland County 951 Wendover Heights Drive Shelby, NC 28150.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
