Betty Huffstetler Waters, 81, of Kings Mountain, passed away August 8, 2023, at The Greens at Gastonia.
She was born January 20, 1942, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Stanley Huffstetler and Odell Tomas Huffstetler.
Betty was a member of Springwood Free Will Baptist Church in Gastonia.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Independent Baptist Tabernacle 2128 Dallas Cherryville Highway, Dallas, officiated by Pastor Jeff Silvers, Pastor Michael Spargo, and Pastor Brian Spargo
The family will receive friends 6-8pm Friday, August 11, 2023, at the church.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Betty is survived by sons, Dinkey Teague (Sissy), Dean Waters Jr. (Crystal), Mike Waters (Jody), Robert Waters (Amy), Duane Tompkins (Nichole), Jason Tompkins (Sarah); daughters, Sherry Hayes, Yaulanda Hill (Mike); brothers, Butch Huffstetler, Keith Huffstetler, Michael Huffstetler (Florence), Todd Huffstetler (Cindy); sisters, Emma Lee Walters, Pat Ivey, Debra Townsend (James), Janice Moss (Clarence); eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Walter Dean Waters Sr.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.
