Betty Bryant Thurston

Gastonia, NC Betty Bryant Thurston, 65, passed away November 6, 2013 at her home. She was born May 25, 1948 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Charles L. Bryant and Julia Lucille McCulloch Bryant. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was the owner for 10 years of Betty's Country Cookin and was an avid seamstress and gardener. A memorial service will be held 2 pm on Saturday at McAdenville Wesleyan Church, officiated by Rev. Pat Hammon. Interment is private. She is survived by: her loving husband of 13 years, Henry Fred Thurston; son, Jerry Pace Jr. and spouse, Sidney; daughter, Cindy Brooks and spouse, Ronnie; brothers, Lewis Bryant and spouse, Barbara, Charles Bryant Jr. and spouse, Claudia; sisters, Margaret Helton and spouse, Clyde, Frances Helton and spouse, Don, Helene Burnham and spouse, Kelly; grandchildren, Justin and Trevor Pace, Jordan and Madison Brooks. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by: a son, Charles Lawson Pace; sister, Doris Everhart.
