Betty T. Sinclair

Betty T. Sinclair age 89 of Lincolnton, NC made her journey home peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2023. She was born in Clyde North Carolina to the late Larkin A. and Georgia Justice Thornburg. She was a member of Puett's United Methodist Church in Dallas, NC.

Betty was an avid entrepreneur in the furniture business for many years, but her greatest passion was the craft shows where she displayed her ceramic pieces and beautiful porcelain dolls she created meticulously. Betty never met a stranger and was always ready to help anyone at anytime. Betty was loved and will be greatly missed by all the many friends and family she has. She had so many brothers and sisters from Lutheran Children's Home of Salem, NC, where she spent time as a child, and kept in touch with them over the years through reunions and travel.

Left to cherish all the wonderful memories of her life include her husband, Donald F. Sinclair of the home, daughters, Cynthia Meuller (Rick) of Dallas, Joyce Solecki of the home, Janet Livingston of Marion, and Kimberley Arrowood (David) of Bessemer City. 10 grandchildren, 28 great- grandchildren, 12 great- great grandchildren. brothers Daniel C Thornburg of New Mexico, David C. Thornburg of Denver NC, and a sister Frances T. Bost of Denver, NC

Betty was preceded in death by her brother Jack Owens, sister Eula Mae Marti, granddaughter Shannon Nicole Roach, great- great grandson Killian Daniel Buckley-Ciszak.

In Lieu of flowers, donations, can be made to Carolina Caring (Hospice House) 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658 who took such great care of Betty and the family during her last days.

A celebration of Betty's life will be held 6:00 pm Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Webbs Chapel Baptist Church 3051 Gaston Webbs Chapel Road Lincolnton, officiated by Pastor David McDaniel and Pastor Timothy Luther.

The family will receive friends from 5-6 pm prior to the service at the church.
