Betty J. Rice

Betty J. Rice, 92, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at Morningside of Gastonia.
She was born April 8, 1933, in Sanilac Co, MI, daughter of the late Gerald and Bernice Titsworth.
Betty was a member of Fellowship and 1st United Methodist Churches, in Austin, MN. She loved gardening and flowers. Betty was also a quilter and a member of Gaston Co Quilters Guild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank "Warren" Rice, Jr; stepmother, Naomi Titsworth.
Betty is survived by her children and their spouses, Debra Ann Dvorak (Paul), Kathleen S. Rice (Greg Loek), Carol E. Bartels (Ken), and Frank Warren "Chip" Rice, III (Sara Chute); brother, Jerry Titsworth; sister, Jeaneen Titsworth; grandchildren, Anne Misher (Terrass), Paul "P.J." Dvorak, Jr. (Brooke Bunch), Raymond Loek (Mariah Miller), Ellen Titus, Jami Loek, Alexis Bartels-Popelar (Anthony), Andrew Bartels (Zoey), Alli Engebretson (Steve), Arianne Raines, Mackenzie Knutsen (Peter), Maxwell Rice, Chloe Rice, Georgia Rice, Race Rice, and Sarah Evelyn Rice; and great-grandchildren, Terrass "Razz" Misher, Jr., Victoria Misher, Charlotte Misher, Miles Engebretson, Laven Prada,  Katarina Loek, and Christiano and Sirus Knutson.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:30pm, Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Morningside of Gastonia - 2755 Union Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
