Betty Eades Payne

Betty Eades Payne, 54, of Kings Mountain, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 18, 2014, at her residence. She was born August 20, 1959 in Statesville, NC, daughter of Helen Duke Eades and the late Robert Eades. Betty, a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, was the owner of Mama Betty's Daycare for 13 years and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, NC. A home going service will be held 2pm, Monday, April 21, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 107 Range Road, King Mountain, NC, with the Rev. Kevin Mathis officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:30pm, Sunday, April 20, at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 18 years, Billy Payne of home; sons, Robert Thomas and wife Teri of Cherryville, NC, Dean Thomas and wife Jeri of Kings Mountain, NC, Bruce Thomas and Fiancé Donna of Kings Mountain, NC; children of the home, Ann Marie Payne, Bailey Payne, Jonah Payne; sisters, Shelia Ripley of Shelby, NC, Teresa Frishkorn of Kings Mountain, NC, Wanda Jones of Blacksburg, SC; and eight grandchildren. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother Michael Eades. In respect to the families wishes contributions may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
