Betty Jackson Owenby

Betty Jackson Owenby, 74, passed away October 5, 2012 at the Brian Center, Gastonia. She was born November 27, 1937, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Ervin and Margaret Broome Jackson. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a charter member of United Baptist Church in Gastonia. A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Raymond Johns Jr. Mrs. Owenby is survived by: her sons, Jeff Owenby, Ronnie Owenby and his wife, Sandie; sisters, Nancy Stowe, Marylee Threat, Shirley Warren; grandchildren, Ben Owenby, James Owenby; great grandchildren, Logan and Chloe Owenby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Fred Owenby. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
