Betty Mcleymore

Betty McLeymore, 74, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, at her home.

She was born July 2, 1949, in Gaston County, North Carolina, to the late Lloyd and Mary Wiggins.

Betty was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, John Charles McLeymore, Jr., and her sister, Elizabeth Huffstetler.

Betty is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Charles McLeymore, Sr.; daughters, Melissa Stanley and Christina Wilson; grandchildren, Michael Scott, Megan, Marissa, Brentley, and Bradley; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 21, 2023, 6:00-8:00 pm, at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia, NC 28052.

A service to celebrate Betty's life will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service.  Interment will follow the service at Westview Gardens, 1123 Edgewood Road, Bessemer City, NC 28016.
