Betty Lutz

July 24, 1927 — November 4, 2021

Betty Lynn Lutz, 94, of Cherryville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.

A native of Gaston County, born on July 24, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Newman and Tressie Flum Lynn.

Betty was a member of Carson Memorial Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her family. Betty taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, served on the Bereavement Committee, and took care of the floral arrangements on Sunday at her church. She retired from Carlton Yarns after many years of service.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Buck Lutz, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Left to cherish Betty's memories are her daughters, Diane Merck (Bobby), Starr Allan, and Elaine Cleveland (John); sister, Barbara Bohanon; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Chris Wilson, will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Carson Memorial Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment to follow at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Carson Memorial Baptist Church – 262 Sparrow Springs Rd., Kings Mountain, NC 28086.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium.
