Betty Crisp Ledford Shook

Betty Crisp Ledford Shook, 91, passed away April 4, 2022, at her home in Dallas, NC.

She was born September 11, 1930, in Bryson City, NC to the late Fred and Eunice Smith Crisp.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Ledford; son, Redgie Ledford; granddaughter, Lynn Ledford Hamm; two sons-in-law, James Billy Teague and Boyd Samuel  White; daughter-in-law, Gail Barnes Ledford; six brothers; and three sisters.

Betty is survived by three children, Carolyn Teague,  Ricky Ledford and wife Brenda, and Teresa White; four grandchildren, Carmen White, James Teague, Scott Ledford, and Angel Neelands; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many other loving, extended family.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 7, 2022, 6:00-8:00 pm, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC.

A service to celebrate the life of Betty, officiated by Rev. Johnny Norris, Jr., will be held Friday, April 8, 2022, at 1:00 pm, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service.  Interment will follow the service at Westview Gardens, 1123 Edgewood Road, Bessemer City, NC.
