Betty Liles Green

Betty Liles Green, age 84, of Lincolnton, NC, passed away peacefully on Mother's Day, May 12, 2024.

She was born March 11, 1940, in Lynchburg, Va, daughter of the late Ollie Lee Liles and Elress Clark Liles.

Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found her grace, strength, and peace in her faith as an active member of South Gastonia Church of God, where she was known as "the dancing granny".

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Regina Capps; brothers, Bruce Edward Liles, and Bobby Lee Liles.

Betty is survived by her children, Leslie Capps (Susan) of Catawba, SC, and Mary Beaver (Randy) of Lincolnton, NC; sister, Peggy Turner; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service officiated by Pastor Adrian Franklin, will be held 7:00pm, Friday, May 17, 2024, at South Gastonia Church of God - 310 Carolina Ave, Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be private.
