Betty Buchanan Goble

Betty Buchanan Goble, 82, of Gastonia, passed away July 18, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center surrounded by family.

She was born February 23, 1934, in Mitchell County, the daughter of the late Woodfin and Hettie Buchanan.

Betty loved and cherished her time with family and friends.   She was a loving and giving person who was loved by all she met.

Left to cherish her memories are her son Randy Goble and partner John Huffstetler; sister Ruby Raxter; grandson Davey Goble and wife Leah and granddaughter Michelle Goble; great-grandchildren Noah and Elijah Goble; daughter-in-law Deborah Lazenby; special niece Shelia Slater; sister-in-laws Sue Cook and Kay Goble and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Raymond Goble; son Roger Davey Goble; brothers Charlie and Lewis Buchanan; sisters Margie Sparks, Hazel Harrison and Lois Riddle.

A funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Ken Fuquay, will be held 3:30 pm Thursday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 2:30 – 3:30 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
