Betty Jean Gilreath Earle, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed peacefully Thursday, July 30, 2020 at home with her family by her side.
Ms. Gilreath was a beloved church member at the Oakwood Park Assembly of God where she taught Sunday School many years and sang in the choir. She and her sisters provided music for many many years, helping numerous souls come to Christ with their beautiful musical ministry. Many knew them as the Gilreath Sisters. Ms. Gilreath was exceptional at playing the piano, guitar, bass guitar, accordion, banjo and organ. She was blessed with many talents. Her faith in God brought her many miracles throughout her life and the lives of her family members and friends. She was loved by many and will not soon be forgotten. She loved painting and beautiful flowers. She was a long-time employee and retired from HomeLite in Gastonia.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Walter Gilreath; mother, Marie Gilreath; husband, Ted Earle; infant daughter, Barbara Jean Earle; and brother, Ronald David Gilreath.
She was loved and cared for in her final years by her daughter, Donna Randolph, and son-in-law, Toby Randolph. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Randolph and husband Toby of Bessemer City, and Teresa Frady of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Brandon Pierce of Dallas and Angela Ramsey of Gainesville, GA; great-grandchild, Caden Pierce of Kings Mountain; brother, W. B. Gilreath and wife, Martha of Gastonia; and sisters, Ethel Coleman of Gastonia, Elaine Johnson of Gastonia, and Ann Watkins of Gastonia.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name to Gaston Hospice, PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054, or any animal rescue organization.
Rest in peace, momma, as this is never goodbye but, "I'll see ya later." Love you forever.
A celebration of life service will be held at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 3:00 pm
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City, NC.
