Betty Giles Crisp Tompkins

Betty Giles Crisp Tompkins, 91, a native of Gaston Co, NC, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Peak Resources, Gastonia, NC.

She was born June 15, 1930, daughter of the late Thor and Mattie Jeffers Giles.

Betty was a hard worker with a deep, strong Christian faith. She was a gifted seamstress, loved to laugh, and looked forward to her annual trips to the mountains.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Scott Crisp, Sr., and Jack Tompkins; daughter, Linda Bell; son, Scott Crisp, Jr.; and brother, Bobby Giles.

Betty is survived by her son, David Crisp (Janice Penley); daughter, Susan Martin (Tom Martin); stepdaughter, Susett Rankin (Wray Rankin); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service officiated by Pastor Sam Barnette, will be held 2:30pm on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia.
