Betty Foy Cloninger

Betty Foy Cloninger, 83 of Forest City, passed away on March 13 2013 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County. She was born August 17, 1929 in Gaston County daughter of the late Livie Foy and Willie Hanna Foy. Mrs. Cloninger was a member of Pisgah ARP Church, Gastonia. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday at Pisgah ARP Church Cemetery, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Rick Lewis. The family will meet at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., at 1:30 - 1:45pm to go in procession to the cemetery. Mrs. Cloninger is survived by: her loving husband of 60 years, Larry L. Cloninger; son, George "Lin " Cloninger and wife Cindy; brothers, L. Don Foy and wife Nell, Harvey Lee Foy and wife Betty; sisters Helen Littlejohn and husband Richard, Dot Clark and husband Pete, Patricia Carver and husband Vernon; grandson, Jason Silvey and wife Anne Marie; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: sisters, Polly Weathers and Mary Frances Foy. Memorials may be sent to Pisgah ARP Church 3600 Linwood Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
