Betty Jo Bartlett

Betty Jo Bartlett, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born on November 26, 1949, in West Virginia, but spent much of her life in Gastonia, North Carolina, where she made a warm and welcoming home for her family and friends.

Betty was a dedicated homemaker, and her caring spirit and kindness touched everyone around her. She had a special knack for creating a cozy environment that made everyone feel at home. She is survived by her loving sons, Kevin Hagerman (fiance' Monica Furtick), Michael Cole, Robert Cole; her sister Diana Montgomery; brother, Ronald Mills (Juanita); grandchildren, Justin Hagerman, Amanda Bryant, Danny Bryant, and Bryan Morris; great-grandchildren, Danny Bryant and Braylei Bryant, all of whom will cherish her memory and the countless moments they shared together.

Betty's family will hold a memorial service to celebrate her life, which will take place in the coming days. Details about the service will be shared with family and friends as arrangements are finalized. Following the service, Betty will be cremated, and her ashes will be laid to rest at a location of significance to her family.

While Betty's physical presence will be missed, her spirit and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. The family appreciates the love and support from everyone during this time.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmie Bartlett; parents, Lloyd Mills and Kathryn Allen; daughter, Sherri Morris; brother-in-law, David Montgomery.
