Beth Plemmons

Beth Barber Plemmons, 73, of Gastonia passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born July 27, 1943 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Davis and Ruby Barber.

Beth was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed the beach and spending time with family and friends. Before her illness she enjoyed life to the fullest and her interactions with her coworkers at Wix.

The family would like to thank all her nurses and caregivers at Gastonia Care and Rehab and the ICU department at Caromont Regional Medical who provided such great and loving care to Beth.  A special thank you to Chaplain Jimmy.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband Jimmy Plemmons; daughter, Julia Plemmons Starnes; sister, Susan Jackson and husband Steve; grandchildren, Skyler Starnes.

A funeral service will be held 2:30 pm Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, South Chapel 1503 S. York Road. Gastonia, NC.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Alzheimer's Association – Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28215.

Interment will be held at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
