Bertha Massey Jolly

Bertha Massey Jolly, 85, of Gastonia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 5th, 2015. Bertha was born on May 23rd, 1930 in Banks County, GA and was the daughter of the late Lon & Ophelia Massey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Ernest Jack Jolly. Even though Bertha faced physical challenges in her last days, her faith remained. Bertha's loving smile and kind spirit will always be remember and she will never be forgotten. Bertha was a former member of Beech Avenue Baptist Church and a member of Independent Baptist Tabernacle. Bertha is survived by her sons, Benjamin Jolly, Gary Jolly and wife, Carla and Michael Jolly; brother, BF Massey and wife, Joann; sister, Betty Nall and husband, Herbert; grandchildren, Shadina Price, Jamie Jolly, Emily Jolly, Blake Jolly and many great-grandchildren and friends. The funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday August 10th at Greene's Funeral Service South Chapel 1503 South York Road Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Ralph Carver. The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Gastonia Memorial Park. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
