Bernice J. Thomason, 89, of Gastonia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 7, 2020,
She was born on April 26, 1930, to the late Marion W. Rushing and Louella B. Rushing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne A. Thomason Sr., brothers, Jerry L. Rushing, Heath Rushing, Ward J. Rushing and Tony Rushing.
Left to cherish her memory are sons, Ron Walker (Melody), Wayne A. Thomason Jr. (Sherry); daughters, Glenda Standridge, Beverly Mauldin and Andra Thomason Rushing (Randy); sister-in-law, Alice Rushing; ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Levine's Children Hospital 208 East Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28203.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
