Becky Hines Herron

Mount Holly, NC Becky Hines Herron, 80, went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2013 at her home. She was born September 21, 1932 in Burke County, daughter of the late Ed and Ruby McSwain Hines. Mrs. Herron loved her family, church, playing the accordion, teaching Sunday school and was a prize winner of knitting. She was a member of North Belmont Church of God. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday at Ranlo Church of God officiated by the Revs. Carl Overton and Paul Collins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 pm Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont. Mrs. Herron is survived by: her husband of over 11 years, Rev. Jimmy Herron; step daughters, Kimberly Surovchak and husband Kevin, Cheri Andrews and husband Glenn; grandchildren, Joshua Wiggins and wife Jen, Jesse Wiggins and wife Steph; great grandchildren, Austin, Logan, Jacob; nieces, Millie Bahr and husband Jim, Nancy Hoffman and husband Hoyle; nephew, C. Nelson "Corkey" Smith and wife Cathy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: former husband, Jesse Westberry;her son, Michael Wiggins; step-son, Garry Herron; 3 sisters. Memorials may be made to North Belmont Church of God, 2316 Acme Rd. Belmont, NC 28012. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
