He was born April 26, 1945 in Cleveland County, the son of the late James Dolan Russell and Pauline Ford Russell.
Barry was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie R. Flowe and brother, James D. Russell, Jr.
He is survived by son, Michael and sister, Rebecca Barr and husband, Wayne.
All services are private.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
