Barbra Jean "Bj" Ricardo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbra Jean "BJ" Lillywhite Ricardo, age 48, who left us on November 9, 2025. Born on September 14, 1977, in New York, Barbra was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister.

Barbra spent many years as a dispatcher in the transportation industry, where her friendly, can-do spirit made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was known for her quick wit and infectious laughter, and she loved sharing stories about her family.

She is survived by her devoted husband of over 25 years, John Ricardo; her mother, Kathleen "Kat" McGill Lillywhite; her son, William "Ham" Ricardo; her daughters, Laurie and Emma Ricardo; and her sister, Laureen Lillywhite Berenger and husband Keith. Barbra was preceded in death by her father, Billy Lillywhite.

A visitation will be held 6-8pm, Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Barbra will always be remembered for her love and compassion, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
