Barbara Maxine Wooten

Barbara Maxine Wooten, 73, of Gastonia, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

She was born March 7, 1950, a native of Gaston Co, NC, daughter of the late Newell and Sue Hardin.

Barbara was a member of Crowders Mountain Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, and grandmother. She loved playing jokes on people. She was a fighter, never met a stranger, and always considered everyone else.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Richard Wooten.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Ronald Wooten (Angela), Ricky Wooten (Heather), and Randy Wooten (Christy); sister, Patricia Bell (Jack); grandchildren, Hailey Smith, Brittany, Ashley, Brandy, Holly, Autumn, Ronnie, and Kinslee Wooten, Marley Gillelan, Elliott Hill, Kelsea, Kenna, and Kara-Grace Wooten; and 8 great-grandchildren.
