Barbara Jean Williams

Barbara Jean Williams, 75, of Gastonia, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born April 8, 1947, in Gaston County to the late Edward and Margaret Boone.

Barbara has been a member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church for many years. She worked as a bus driver for the public school system. She loved traveling and antique shopping.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Edward Boone Jr., and her daughter in law, Elizabeth Williams.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 45 years, Danny Williams; sons, David Williams, Chris Williams (Becky); daughter, Jamie Morrison (Adam); sisters, Frankie Johnson, Debbie Palmer (Ray); six grandchildren, Austin Williams, Amber Bryson, Kristy Brooks, Taylor Williams, Piper Lowrance, Connor Morrison; four great-grandchildren, Autumn Williams, Adaline Brooks, Jarvis Bolding, Jaxson Bolding.

A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Roger Overton and Pastor Seth Barkley will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Chapel Grove Baptist Church, 716 Camp Rotary Road, Gastonia, NC. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
