Barbara Jean Smith Holt

Barbara Jean Smith Holt, 67, of Dillon, SC, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon, SC. A Gaston County native, she was born July 7, 1945 daughter of the late William Joseph Smith and Martha Sprouse Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ray Holt Sr.; brothers, David Randall Smith and William Arthur Smith; sisters, Betty Smith Russell, Ann Smith Sisk, Sandra Kay Galarza, and Jeanette Elaine Warren. Mrs. Holt was involved with The Bread Box Ministry. She loved and helped everyone and was involved with several churches. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Pam Murray Hardy of Dillon, SC; sons, Arthur R. Holt Jr., James Danny Russell, Jesse James Holt, Ralph Robert Russell Jr., and Thomas Lee Holt; adopted son, Arturo J. Ferretiz, all of Gastonia; sister, Gail Devine of Hendersonville, NC; special friend, Marilyn Estes; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held 3:00pm Tuesday, December 11, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. The service will be officiated by Revs. Johnny Devine, Grace Lowery, and Paul Moore In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to, Dillon SC Hospice at McLeod Medical Center, 301 E.
