Barbara Barton Reeves

Barbara Barton Reeves, 69, of Gastonia, passed away, March 7, 2015, at her residence. She was born September 27, 1945, in Ashe County, daughter of the late Franklin Bryant Barton, Jr. and Ruby Denny. Barbara loved her family. She was a hard worker and loved to work in her garden. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Hughie Ray Reeves, Sr. Left to cherish her memories are son, Hughie Ray Reeves, Jr. and wife, Amber; daughters, Brooke Badger and husband, Barney, Jessica Reeves and fiancé, Lee Padgett; brother, James Barton; sister, Mary Burkett; and grandchild, Jordan Reeves. A funeral service will be held 11 am on Wednesday, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd., Gastonia, officiating Rev. James Reep. The family will receive friends 6 -8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Gaston Memorial Park. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia. .
