Barbara "Barb" Norris

Barbara "Barb" Norris, 66, of Gastonia, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born on July 22, 1954, in Livingston County, MI, to the late George Washington Russell and Mary Fran Martin McMurray.

Barb loved to talk on the phone with family and friends. She enjoyed sewing and any chance to travel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason Norris; brother, Donnie Russell; and grandson, Mark Anthony Tidwell.

Left to cherish Barb's memories are husband of over 29 years, Charles Norris; sons, John McMurray, and Tracy Williams; daughters, Lori Lynn McMurray, and Trish Norris; brothers, Dennis, and Dale Russell; grandchildren, Nathan Tidwell, David Mitchum, Matthew Mitchum, TJ Mitchum, James Simpson, IV, Katelynn Holstein, Chris Holstein, Jet McMurray, and Marshall McMurray; and great grandchildren, Phoebe Tidwell, and Hope Tidwell.

A funeral service for Mrs. Norris, officiated by Pastor Johnny Yarboro, will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday 18, 2021 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service- 1503 S York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment to follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
