Barbara Mccall

Barbara Jane McCall, 60, of Alexis, passed away August 28, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born on January 18, 1961 , in Mecklenburg County, NC, to Evelyn Mabe Johnson and the late Garfield Johnson.

In addition to her father, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Evans McCall, Jr.; and sister, Phyllis Blackmon.

Left to cherish Barbara's memories are her mother, Evelyn Johnson; grandmother, Lucy Williams; son, Jeremiah McCall (Shellie); daughter, Angie McCall; brothers, Roger Johnson and Garfield Johnson, Jr.; sisters, Shirley Breedlove, and Shelly Pope; grandchildren, Zachary, Cheyenne, Stevey, Kaleb, Kole, Jeremiah and Kendall; and great grandchildren, Paisley, Caitlyn, Aaliyah, Jayce, and Hayden.

A funeral service, officiated by Josh Baer, will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd., Gastonia, NC, 28052.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

A Private interment will be at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Balsam Grove, NC.
