Barbara Herrin Mason

Barbara Herrin Mason, 84, of Gastonia, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at her residence.

A native of Gaston County, born on October 1, 1937, Barbara was the daughter of the late Marshall Wilson and Estelle Traywick Herrin.

Barbara was a member of Goshen Presbyterian Church in Belmont. She enjoyed traveling with her sister and making memories.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Mason; and son, Charles R. Mason.

Left to cherish Mrs. Mason's memories are her daughters, Robbin M. Tamberelli (Frank) and Donna Spirlin; grandchildren, Misty M. Smith, David and Billy Mason and, Michael, Jimmy and Daniel Spirlin; several great grandchildren; sister, Patsy Alexander; and brother, James Herrin (Gaby).

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. James Almond, will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Goshen Presbyterian Church – 380 Woodlawn St, Belmont, NC 28012.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment to follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Goshen Presbyterian Church – 380 Woodlawn St, Belmont, NC 28012.
