Barbara Dean Maddox

Gastonia, NC - Barbara Dean Maddox, 57, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at her residence. Barbara was born April 17, 1956 in Gaston County NC. She was the daughter of the late J. W. and Annie Mae Patton Hilton. A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life 6 p.m. on Thursday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Chris Norris. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Maddox of the home, son, David Treadway, Jr. and wife Sabrina, Bessemer City, daughters, Elizabeth Ann Elkins, Gastonia, Katherine Rae Anderson and husband Gary, Dallas, Heather Christine Treadway, Shelby, brothers, James Mitchell Hilton, Kings Mtn., John Wayne Hilton, Gastonia, sisters, Teresa Anderson and husband Jerry, Clover SC, Sheresa Norris and husband Dennis, Gastonia, Linda Whiteman and fiancé Jeff Whitesides, Gastonia and seven grandchildren. The South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium is serving the Maddox family.
