Greene Funeral Service Tele -704-867-5521 Fax 704-867-4964 Barbara Jenkins Lowe, 67, of Bessemer City went to sleep in death surrounded by her family, September 19, 2015, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas. She was born May 10, 1948, in Gaston County, daughter of the late William Turner Jenkins and Rosie Dolly Norris Jenkins. The family would like to thank the staff of the Robin Johnson Hospice House for the wonderful and loving care they provided Barbara during her brief illness. Barbara was a CNA for 25 years with Complete Care of Shelby and she worked as a tax preparer for H & R Block in Stanley for 28 years. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Brother Don Johnson from the North Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses . The family will receive friends 1:30 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 49 years and childhood sweetheart, Eddie Lowe Sr.; daughter, Shelia Ball and husband Steve; son, Eddie Lowe Jr.; grandchildren, Madison, Jonathan and Ashleigh; brother, Eugene Jenkins and wife Diane; sister, Ann Webb; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Robin Johnson Hospice House c/o Gaston Hospice P.O.
