Barbara A. Ledford

Barbara A. Ledford, 77, of Gastonia, passed away Tuesday March 21, 2023, at her residence.

She was born November 9, 1945, in New York City, New York to the late Arthur and Mary Werner.

Barbara loved her family. She enjoyed life. She loved the beach, music, and to sing. She shared life experiences. She was the kindest, funniest, strongest woman her family knew. Her heart and home were always open to those in need.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Ledford; sisters, Grace Clavell and Mary Duren.

Barbara is survived by her son, Mark Ledford and wife Michelle; daughter, Mary Ledford; brothers, Butchie Werner and wife Johanna; sisters, Teresa McFarland, Joan Ginty and husband Jack; two grandchildren, Bryan and Scott Ledford.

The family will greet friends at the home.

A memorial service officiated by Reverend Greg Floyd will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, March 24, 2023, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
