Barbara R. King

Barbara R. King, 82, of Kings Mountain, passed away on November 27, 2021, at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cherryville.

She was born April 22, 1939, in Mecklenburg County, NC, daughter of the late George Washington Ross and Ada Fields Ross.

Barbara will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She loved the outdoors.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Sam Barnette.

Burial will be a t Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Ann Presnell (Mike); her sons, Wade Brown, Ricky Brown (Trish); siblings, Dora Bridges, Laura Christopher (Wayne), Pat Ross (Nancy), Archie Ross (Sheila). Barbara was blessed with eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by seven siblings.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be sent to Gaston Hospice, P. O. Box 3984 Gastonia, NC 28054.
