Barbara Reola Hadden

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Moore Hadden, who left us on September 6, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on November 23, 1957, in Gaston County, North Carolina, she leaves behind a legacy of love and friendships.

Barbara was known for her warm spirit and her love for family. She was the proud mother of two wonderful daughters, Deanna Hadden and Rebecca Eller (Jamy), who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her grandson, Zaiden Hadden-Selby; siblings, Charlene Dixon , Diane Matiska, Bobbie Dowell, Linda Duncan, Kenny Moore, and Robert Moore; father of her children, Tony Hadden; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie "Bud" and Evelyn Moore; brother, Charlie Moore, III; a special cousin and friend, Melody Coins.

A music lover at heart, Barbara enjoyed listening to country and oldies, often reminiscing about the good times. In her school days, she played the saxophone, a talent that brought joy not just to herself but to those around her. Barbara often joked about finding herself a handsome, Cherokee Indian biker, maybe now she has found him. She was known for her generosity, Barbara found joy in crafting special items for her loved ones, showcasing her nurturing nature. Barbara worked as a Volkman Twister Operator at Pharr Yarns Textiles Industry for many years and later was one of the first women truck drivers in this area working for her family, Moore's Express.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Barbara's life at 5:00 pm on Monday, September 14, 2026 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Barbara's legacy will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest peacefully, Barbara; you will be deeply missed.
