Barbara Fite

Barbara Fite, 66, of Blacksburg, SC, passed away December 23, 2023, at Wendover Hospice in Shelby, NC.

She was born November 4, 1957, in Gaston County, to Gladys Harris Clayton and the late Bobby Ray Clayton.

In addition to her father, Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Walden; and brothers, Matthew Clayton and Barry Clayton.

In addition to her mother, Barbara is survived by her daughters, Pam Harvey, Jamie Brown, Sandy Detter and fiancé Scott Truett, and Candy Suarez and husband Pedro; sisters, Deborah Meyer and husband David, Sherry Sheppard and husband Rex, and Lisa Rogers and husband Keith; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Friday, January 5, 2024, 6:00-8:00 pm, at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia, NC 28052.
