Barbara "Barbie" Caldwell Barber

Barbara "Barbie" Caldwell Barber, 64, of Gastonia, passed away February 22, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on April 27, 1959, to Fran Caldwell and the late Ronald Roy Caldwell.

Barbie enjoyed reading, painting, and knitting.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Holly Shiver and granddaughter, Lexi Barber.

In addition to her mother, Barbie is survived by her husband, Chip Barber; son, Heath Barber; daughters, Heather Barber and Haley Smith; brothers, Ken Caldwell and wife Susan, and Jason Caldwell and wife Robin; sisters, Connie Caldwell and Doreen Capps and husband Frankie; grandchildren, Madison Hawkins, Bubba Hawkins, Jacob Barber and wife Cassy, Sierra Barber, Gabbie Shiver, Logan Shiver, and Deliliah Carle; great-grandchildren, Brayden Hawkins, Bentley Barber, Lilly Barber, Jameson Hawkins, and Serenity Tate; and many nieces and nephews.

Barbie's family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

A service to celebrate Barbie's life will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service.  Interment will follow the service at Sandy Plains Baptist Church Cemetery, 5323 Union Rd., Gastonia, NC.
