Avis Lorine Hendrickson Ewart, passed away Sunday, October 14th, 2018 in her
sleep, at the age of 86. Avis was born on October 10th, 1932, in Lunds Valley,
North Dakota. A wife and a mother to nine children, Avis worked as a homemaker
and at the WIX Filtration Corporation in Gastonia. Avis was the daughter Irene &
Ed Hendrickson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Lee Ewart,
and her husband, William Jarvis Ewart. She is survived by her children; Tom
(Jackie) Ewart, Joe Ewart, Laurie (Scott) Grayson, Lisa (Paul) Bolding, Jim
Ewart, Jerry (Joy) Ewart, Sheri Ewart, and Michael Ewart, many grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. The service will be
officiated by Rev. Jeff Williams at 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 17th at Greene
Funeral Home; 1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052. Visitation will be held after
the service.
