Avis Rita Dellinger

Avis "Rita" Dellinger, 67, of Gastonia, passed away December 13, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

She was born November 11, 1953 in Bladen County, NC to the late James Edward McKenzie and Helen Parrish McKenzie.

Rita was devoted to her family and loved them very much.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Donald McKenzie and a sister Diane Judson.

Rita is survived by her loving husband of over 23 years, Richard Dellinger; daughters, Dora Rankin (Edward "P.J."), Kris McFalls (Tom), and Carmen Rankin; stepdaughters, Jodi Dellinger and Rebecca Dellinger; brothers Gene, Wayne, and Ronald McKenzie; sister, Nyoka Willoughby; grandchildren, Jordan and Alexis Rankin, Stacy McFalls, Angela Johnson, Phillip Rankin, and two other grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Carter Johnson.

A memorial service will be held at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 4:00 pm with Reverend Tom McFalls officiating.
