Audrey Ward Griffin

Gastonia, NC Audrey Venora Griffin, 98 of Gastonia, passed away Tuesday, November 26th. She was living with her son, Don at the time of her death. She was born October 14, 1915 in Effingham, SC., daughter of the late Lovie Edward and Sarah Ward. The family would like to give a special thanks to Kershaw Health Services for the last twelve months of their home care. Primary caregivers were her son, Don and daughter, Joyce. A graveside service will be held 1:00pm on Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery 1462 Armstrong Ford Road, Belmont, officiated by Pastor Gary Richardson. Audrey is survived by: her sons, Gerald W. Griffin and wife Olean of Effingham, SC, Donald E. Griffin of Bethune, SC; daughters Joyce G. Bolmon of Charlotte, Judith E. Cannon of Hemet, CA; sister, Muyberry Edwards of N. Charleston, SC 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her brother, Leroy Edward Ward; sister Bernice Travis Ward and son-in-law, James Stewart Bolmon. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
