Audrey "Ann" Atkins May 11, 1961 - June 10, 2026

In loving memory of Audrey Ann Atkins, born May 11, 1961, to Bayard Gunter Jr. and Ruby Lena Stennette Gunter. She went to be with her Lord, parents and son Wednesday, June 10th, 2026. Ann was battling stage four cancer since late 2024. She did not let that define her. She continued doing the things she loved and spending time with her family and loved ones. She pressed through the hardest of days with her faith, family and strength. Audrey passed eventually from complications of a cardiac arrest at Caromont in Gastonia, NC, surrounded by loved ones. She was a fighter. Strong. Loving. Caring.

Audrey graduated from the Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology in North Augusta, Georgia.

Audrey "Ann" loved the beach, painting, sewing, quilting and crafting. She also loved to spoil her 2 Dobermans.

Ann is survived by her loving husband Eddie "Jan" Atkins, and two legacies, Jeffrey Martin and Ruby Hill of Dallas, NC. Siblings, Scott of Kings Mountain, Kelly (Kirby) of Shallotte, NC, Mark (Renee) of Kings Mountain, Chad (Robin) of Kings Mountain; grandkids Brooks, Jeff Jr, Deana, Audrey Anna, Abigail and James.

Preceded in death by her loving parents, Bayard Gunter Jr. and Ruby Gunter; son Randy Hill; infant Grandson Kevin Martin and infant sister, Debra Ann Gunter.

Ann will be missed here on Earth, but we know she is happy to be home and out of pain, reunited again with family and with her Lord and savior.
