Aubrey Lee Craig

Gastonia, NC - Aubrey Lee Craig, 71, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014. He was born July 22, 1942, native of Gaston County, son of the late James and Essie Craig. Aubrey was a member of Pisgah ARP Church, Gastonia, where he was an elder emeritus. He was a former board of directors at Crowder's Mountain Fire and Rescue and former chairman of the board of Chapel Grove Fire Department, he retired from public service of NC after 36 years of service. A funeral service will be held 3 pm on Sunday at Pisgah ARP Church, 3600 S. Linwood Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Richard Lewis. Visitation will be held 1:30 - 3 pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Pisgah Church Cemetery following the service. Mr. Craig is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Judy Price Craig; son, Todd Mayes; daughters, Peach Craig, Christy Carter; grandchildren, Hali Yarborough, Savanna Mayes, Tucker Mayes, Amber Lindsay, Heather Truitt; 2 great-grandchildren, Kaelin Lindsay and Lillie Truitt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; brother, Jimmy Craig and sisters; Rena Craig and Geraldine Pearson.
