Ashley Polkinghorn

Ashely Polkinghorn, age 32, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 28, 2018.
Ashley's family including her husband, David; daughter, Riley; mother, Kelly; brother, Mark; grandparents, aunts and uncles and a number of others were with her, surrounding her with love as she departed.
Ashley was a graduate of Gaston College and a long-time employee at Speedwell Machine Works. She loved spending time with her family and could often be found at her daughter or nieces and nephews soccer games. She was patient, kind, soft-spoken and always willing to help others.
Ashley's strength and courage were admired by many as she battled cancer for the past two years. She has been freed from the physical pain and her heavenly spirit is at peace with God.
A celebration of Ashley's life, officiated by Pastor Steve Black, will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, July 7th at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, with a visitation one-hour prior.
Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
