Arturo Javier Ferretiz

Arturo Javier Ferretiz Sr., a beloved father and talented Christmas decorator, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on December 9, 1951, in TAM, Mexico, Arturo later made his home in Gastonia, NC, where he became a cherished part of the community.

Arturo was known for his incredible passion for the holiday season. With a knack for decorating, he brought joy and festive spirit to those around him, creating magical Christmas memories year after year. His dedication to his craft was evident in the work he did as a fixer in the Christmas décor manufacturing industry.

Above all, Arturo treasured his family and leaves behind his son, Arturo Ferretiz Jr. (Cayden); siblings, Herminia Ramirez, George Ramirez, Constancio Ramirez, Bernarda Castillo, and Mine Ramirez; granddaughter, Mila Ann Ferretiz; former wife and caregiver, Tammy Ferretiz. He had a unique way of lighting up a room with his warmth and love, which will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Arturo was preceded in death by his parents, Constancio Ferretiz and Dolores Ramirez; brother, Raul Ramirez; sister, Paquita Ramirez.

Arturo will forever be remembered for his joy of decorating, his love for family, and the light he brought into our lives. Rest in peace, Arturo.
