Arthur William Kirkland

Bessemer City, NC - Arthur William Kirkland, 72, of Bessemer City, passed away June 4, 2014 at his residence. He was born November 13, 1941, native of Gaston County, son of the late Richard and Estell Kirkland. A memorial service will be held 3 pm on Saturday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Gary Smith. The family will receive friends 1 - 3 pm on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Arthur is survived by son, Benjamin Kirkland of the home; daughter, Rebecca Anderson of Bessemer City; brother, Robert Kirkland of Maiden; grandchildren, Victoria Anderson, Joey Earney and Torina Ray. In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Nina Kirkland; daughter, Cynthia Foresight; grandson, Tristian Kirkland; three brothers and four sisters. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
