BELMONT — Anthony Dean Hardin, 61, passed away on Tuesday, April 10th, 2018.
Tony was born in Gaston County to Charles and Peggy Hardin on March 27th, 1957. He married Barbara Spencer on November 28th, 1980. He worked for Duke Energy for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to be out in the woods; a love that he instilled in his two boys.
Tony was also a dedicated Christian. He always gave the Lord credit for everything good in his life. He was a supportive friend, dedicated father, and loving husband.
Tony was preceded in death by his mother Peggy Hardin and his father Charles Hardin.
Tony is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 40 years, his son, Charlie and wife April, his son Christopher, his brother Mark and wife Kim. He is also survived by several nieces, and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Charlie Hardin, Chris Hardin, Jason Hardin, Matthew Hardin, Steve Mercer, and Kevin Deal
Honorary Pallbearers: Alan Byrd
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at Cramerton Free Will Baptist with Josh Baer officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will follow at Evergreen cemetery in Belmont.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
Memorials may be given to Cramerton Free Will Baptist, 426 Woodlawn Ave, Cramerton, NC 28032.
