Anna Lou Hale Reeves

Anna Lou Hale Reeves, 71, of Gastonia, passed away, April 1, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

She was born March 21, 1950 in Kegley, WVA, daughter of Fount William Hale and Lucy May Epperson Hale.

Anna was a member of West Fifth Avenue Free Will Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, clerk and she took great pride in making church bulletins. Anna was also a member of the Sentinel's of Hope. She was always involved in several fund-raising organizations for children. Anna volunteered for the Gastonia Street Ministry and the Brightlight Learning Academy – Virtual Learning Site. She was a Guardian Ad Litem for Gaston County, but most of all she loved her grandchildren. She was a nana to everyone.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late great- grandson, Cameron.

Anna is survived by her son, David Shrewsbury (Ashley); daughter, Lisa Silecchia (Frank); companion, Wendel Petty; several brothers and sisters; grandchildren, Christy Treadway, Jeff Treadway (Kim), Madison Shrewsbury and Landon Shrewsbury; and great-grandchildren, Kason, Aiden, Elijah Fount and Gavin.

A celebration of life, officiated by Rev. Richard Cole will be held 2 pm on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at West Fifth Avenue Free Will Baptist Church - 2145 W 5th Ave, Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
