Ann Schettig West

CHARLOTTE, NC Ann Schettig West, 76, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at home. Born Fairfax NY., on February 4, 1937, she is the daughter of the late Homer and Helen Schettig. She worked at Electrotest Inc. for over forty years. Ann will be remembered by her family and friends for her energetic, sweet, fun, loving personality and her devotion to God, family and friends. Her sweet spirit will surely be missed by all. Receiving of friends in honor of Ann will be held at 10:00 am on July 2, 2013, followed by Mass and then lunch at Queen of the Apostles Church, 503 N. Main St., Belmont NC 28012, Celebrated by Father Frank Cancro. Burial will be in Cresson, PA. She is survived by her children; Richard West and wife, Terry of Lake Wylie; John West and wife, Lillie of Shallotte; Suzanne Ballard and husband("perfect son-in-law"), Destry; Sister ("Sissy"), Janet Shirdon and husband, Carl of Shallotte. Also surviving are her four grandchildren Anna Marie West, Savannah Ballard, Kennedy Ballard, Destry Ballard, ll. Nieces, Theresa Bradburn and husband, Greg; Karen Galadamez and husband,Alberto; Nephew, Patrick Shirdon and wife, Donna. Ann is survived by her lifelong partner and companion Paul V. Oates. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
