Ann "Annie" Rosetta Davidson

Ann "Annie" Rosetta Davidson, 81 of Gastonia, NC, passed away Sunday, January 9,2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

Born May 13-1940. In Gaston County, NC, daughter of the late Dewey Summitt and Violet Badger Summitt.

Ann loved to play bingo, do word charms and take notes on the news to talk about later. She loved to check on people and talk for hours on the phone. She always knew what was going on and prayed for everyone. Ann loved birds, flowers and dark chocolate. Her mama violet was a part of the Summitt Trio a church singing group, so Ann loved to sing old Christian/Gospel songs.

"Grandma was a warrior, she battled a lot in her life and will never be forgotten".

In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her ex-husband, Franklin Delano Davidson; daughter, Melody Ann Davidson; and sister, Edith Lawing.

Annie is survived by her son, Timothy Davidson, and daughter in law, Renee Davidson; sister, Phyllis Rivadeneyar; grandkids, Robert Davidson, Jeremy "Andy" Davidson, Eric Davidson, Breanna D. Davidson, Yesenia D. Davidson, Nicolas C. Davidson, Joaquin D. Davidson and Jose R. Davidson; great-grandkids, Abi Davidson, and Colton Davidson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00pm before the service on Saturday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service -1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.

Graveside service officiated by Pastor Milton Smith, will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Woodside Cemetery in Clover, SC.

The family ask that masks and Social Distancing be practiced at the services.
